Distancing

Type: EP
Formats: MP3
Released: 7th March 2007
Label: Archaic Horizon Records

Tracklist:
01 - The Art of Selfdestruction
02 - Skyscraper
03 - Monsoon

4 track "guitar drone" EP released online via Archaic Horizon Records. Broken acoustic and electric guitars were recorded at home by Jason via handheld MP3 player and manipulated with various software to create sprawling effects. The tracks were originally just 'filler' material to put on the band's myspace page until proper band recordings were available - but after good response and an offer by Archaic Horizon, were released online in MP3 format. Download them for free from the AH site or archive.org.

We Are Not Alone

This obscure reject features on the Kaleidoscope World Series 24 compilation CD released by Powertool Records on July 6th 2007. We attempted to get into the Wintec (student) recording studio and lay a track down but we ran out of time and our files were all deleted anyway (the curse!) - so we just submitted this sub-minute length ambient piece (recorded in "the spare bedroom") as a bit of a joke. We played this "song" live a few times as an intro to Tornado Vs Trailerpark. If we were you, we wouldn't bother tracking this one down unless you're a real completist.

Kill Jodies Cat

"Kill Jodies Cat" is a pisstake on Adam's solo project "Kill the Zodiac". Don't get us wrong, we love cats - and silly songtitles. The song was recorded lofi in "the spare bedroom" to be used as the opening theme music of Warped, a locally produced TV series about Hamilton arts and music culture. The song itself is a B-side in every sense of the word - and is simply too different from our other material to be included on any release or setlist. But it's still a nifty little track and very suitable as a theme tune. Kill Jodies Cat was available on our myspace for several months but has since disappeared.
